Whats the best time to hold a 3 yr old birthday party? we're having it at home this year and getting a party entertainer in.

Any tips would be appreciated, this is the first birthday ds1 will know its his birthday!! i'm pretty sure he was still a bit confused at last years party

Either 11 - 1 or 3.00 - 5.00pm with food in the last half hour.

guess depends if he still has a sleep in pm

if he does then i would do a lunchtime 11-1ish and then he can go to bed

if he doesnt then 3-5 is a good time as you can sort things out

also depends if he is at nursery,as might be too much to have nursery 9-12 and then party striaght after, so better to wait and have tea time party

Lots of his friends will probably have younger siblings even if he doesn't so consider their sleep times.. I would go for 3-5 as safest.

but if you do a 3-5 then you may have older siblings if mum/nanny hasnt got rid of them
