Should I start worrying? - Weightloss

My DD's weight has got really strange and I'm finding that the HV's won't commit to giving me an answer as to why that may be.

At 12 weeks she was 12.3lbs, then 16 weeks she was 14.5bs, now last week (17 wks) she's 14.01lbs.

At the 16 week weigh-in, I got told she was putting too much weight on and to cut back on the amount of milk I gave her (which I ignored) Now she's lost 4 oz's in a week and I'm worried.

She drinks 9oz bottles of farley's 1st milk - 5 times a day and then a 9oz 2nd milk just before bed (that's 6, 9oz bottles) She's sleeping through the night and isn't colicy, constipated, pooing more or less etc. Just lost weight.

I have given her the odd "adult food" to taste (she's had a lick of a banana) and around 14 weeks I gave her a bowl of rice as she was constantly hungry but after checking why the guidelines were there I stopped.

I really don't know whats wrong and the HV isn't helping ease my mind at all.
Please help.

Thanks

I completely disagree with dashboard and wouldn't wean her.

Do you think your HV scales are accurate? A lot aren't. They may have over weighed her at 16 weeks, then under at 17 weeks. TBH at this stage I don't think it is necessary to weigh her more than once or twice a month anyway.

If she seems well in herself and still drinking plenty of milk (which is ALL she needs at this age) then I would wait a couple of weeks and then get her weighed again, this time asking about the accuracy of the scales. If she has lost more weight then you might want to ask for a referral to a paed to find out the reasons why. If she is the same weight then it is probably just a blip and she may have had a bug. Or maybe she has been more active than before?

I don't think you have anything to worry about, I'm sure she is absolutely fine.

Thanks all,

I'm trying not to wean her as such, I do give her "tastes" of our food but its really rare.

I'll try not to worry at this stage then
