Where does your baby nap?

DH snapped the travel cot yesterday as we were packing it up and DD will grow out of the pram soon so I was wondering where your babies nap during the day?
The cot upstairs is not an option as I have the toddler to look after too so want them both sleeping in the same room. DD1 naps on the sofa now, so what does yours sleep in?
OR Any ideas for a cheap travel cot?!

I have a travel cot with a broken mattress board has been fine - we've used it like this but dd has grown out of it. Any use to you? Try your local freecycle first though.

on the sofa with cushion placed against back and cusion on floor. Otherwise she'd fall asleep and then wake as was craried upstairs.
When she was little it was in her carrycot though.

How big was she when she grew out of the carrycot?
TBH the travel cot used up half the room when DD1 was in it so would prefer another method, I could have them both on sofas but then I would have to sit on the floor or stay on MN whiel they slept....shame!
Freecycle is a good idea, as can cycle it back if it's no good!

DD is a tall 2yr 4mths but she has stopped napping so doesn't need it daily anymore and if we went away could borrow one. I don't understand why don't put the baby in the cot and let your toddler nap on the sofa???

My dd4 napped in the travel cot so the other dc could still play in their large bedroom during her nap time.

Moses basket when they were little and then pushchair after that.

I am intending to put the baby in the cot, but she is in a pram at the moment and needs a bit more room widthways. DD1 is perfectly happy on teh sofa (or in bed with DH....his excuse for a nap during the day as she sleeps for hours!)

Have seen a wooden playpen which might work as then I can keep her out of the way of DD1 if I have to leave the room but they can still pass toys...

My DD naps in her rocker chair. She's had it from birth and it will last her till she's about three. Its a little bit like a bouncy chair but bigger and sturdier. I know she's safe in it aswell as she staps in. it's this one

Pram if it isn't covered in shopping/coats/laundry to be sorted! Sofa, often. I have a cot in the kitchen which is great for putting him somewhere while I do quick jobs.
Or on my lap while I am MNing!

Sorry forgot to explain travel cot kept in a different bedroom so day naps in a different room in the travel cot it was also my plan so she would then be happy to sleep in a travel cot if we ever went away - and it worked will sleep in a travel cot any place any where! Until she was about 6 months she napped in my coach built pram.

In the kitchen I used to put dd in a shallow laundry basket with a few blankets folded on the bottom. She napped fine

Ooh Izzybel, I like that! takes up less space than a cot as well and can strap DD2 so DD1 can't pull her out.....and portable...am very tempted!
Twas ok with DD1, she slept anywhere, (normally on my back in a sling) Poor old DD2 gets dumped out so I can deal with the noisier one now...the fate of a NSC I think!

or in the car on the drive where i can see him. he refused the pram today, even though i could see he was shattered, so i resorted to a drive round and that did the trick. he's nearly 2 btw.

DS has always napped in his cot upstairs when at home. DTs will do the same when they are born, unless asleep when coming in from a walk so they will sleep in buggy / car seats.

my ds (just 3yo) still needs an hour in his bed after lunch to take him to bedtime at 7pm, and dd (20mths) sleeps in my arms still- thats my 'tv time' as she'll happily sleep for up to 2hrs....ds now takes himself to bed when he's tired and come down on his own too once he's woken up!! neither of mine have been pram sleepers, they sleep in the car but dh takes the car to work 5days a week, and they wouldn't sleep if i put them both in their room to have a nap, so hoping ds will soon grow out of his nap so dd can go in her bed.
