change of stools on solids

I have just started my 5 month old son on rice cereal which he seems to love.
His stool was more solid this morning and I was just wondering if that was normal and not constipation.

Probably normal - my ds's poo firmed up once he started solids too.

If he seems to strain really hard to poo, and it seems very firm, maybe see a doctor, but if he's passing it ok, I'd have thought everything was alright.
