smallest car for 3 children in the back

I am very much a small car driver and really don't like big cars. I currently have a yaris which I love, but am reluctantly having to accept a need to 'upsize' before the arrival of DC3. Are there any small cars to fit 3 carseats in the back? Please bear in mind I found my DH's 307 rather scary to drive!

My mil has a clio which you can just fit 3 car seats in but not sure of a group 0 car seat. Look for one that has a middle shoulder seatbelt and not a lap belt. Good luck!
ps. myself I drive an Astra estate so not the best person to ask!

I would just my eldest in the front, seat as far back as possible or have the airbag disabled if you can't get the seat far enough back to be safe.

There is NO WAY you will find a small car that will accomodate 3 seats across the back. I doubt the 307 will manage it either.

I drive a Grand Scenic (the 7str one) and it is quite a big car but I think that might even struggle to get 3 across the back comfortably (only one of my 3 is in a car seat so not a prob for me).

To be honest, you'd soon ger sed to the dimensions of a larger car of you drove it on a day to day basis. Mine felt HUGE when I first got it (upsized from a 5dr Ford Focus), but after a month or so it felt no different at all.

we have a FIAT MULTIPLA, which I know is not anyone's cup of tea, but it'd accomodate 3 carseats in the back and it's not massive. we actually love it.

I had 3 in the back of a fiat seicento - group 1 seat in the middle, group 0+ and a booster seat did have to upgrade when dc4 arrived though

I have a clio

can get a group 1 car seat (britax renaisance)
group 2 (britax highliner) and a booster cushion (britax or mother care) across the back, with booster in the middle.

hoever it is a bit of a fiddle trying the reach the clickers when strapping in and out, but can be done

We had an Astra with 3 car seats in the back, it was fine. We only have a bigger car now cos we have a lot of windsurf boards and canoes to transport as well as children.

I drive a Focus Zetec. We can fit 3 x seats in the back.....Just! I doubt you will find a small car which can fit 3 in. What about the Ford C-Max. It has 3 seperate seats in the back and isn't that big.
