Change of routine breast feeding question

Hi, I've just put 5mth old DS into his own room at night. He had been waking up every 2 hours in the side sleeping cot in my room so figured I might as well use the opportunity for the transition as I wasn't getting any sleep anyway! It's been three nights now and he's not been waking in the night any more. I've had to go in at 4am to feed him as my boobs have been massive and hard and really needed emptying. Will my body get into its own routine as I'm worried my milk supply will be affected having gone from 4 times per night to nothing. He's feeding a bit more in the day - will this sort it out? Don't really want to feed him at night if he doesn't really want it. Thank you

I was told that your body work on a supply and demand basis. When baby stops demanding the supply slows down but it takes a few days to stop getting the engorged feeling. Remember that if baby were to start demanding again your body would up supply to match demand. Don't panic and enjoy the sleep!
