Today we have two volumes - silent or shriek

Sweet Jesus today is hard work. DS is either happy and coping beautifully or he's screaming at the top of his lungs.

I don't like today. Today can piss off. OH is working late, he's getting tagged the second he walks in. I can't do this today.

I don't understand - is today a single day, or is he like this on a regular basis. Because, if it is just today, then maybe you need to pay attention to some problem that has recently manifested itself.

Sounds like a normal kid to me. Here fruity Cake Brew
My three take it in turns to do shrieking. There is only one volume. Guess the knob fell off a while back and I lost the remote. The German for shriek is schreien so I call the middle one Maschreia Scary to amuse myself. (What has happened to Mariah, not heard owt about her since her divorce from Nick Cannon. He was quite fanciable).
I do understand tagging though. In my case it's here, catch! before stomping off. (Cue favourite joke: What's it like with five? Imagine you're drowning then someone hands you another baby). Chin up OP.

D'oh! This was yesterday. Mary are you replying to unanswered ops?!
So OP, hope DH enjoyed his stint last night and today you fare better.

OH came in, gave me a kiss and fed DS without even a word. I love that man.

Think it's growth spurt - he's exactly like he was when he had one at three weeks. Happily he settled better and I think a big problem was a tummy ache as he had two massive poos this morning!

We also went out. I think spending the day inside yesterday when OH was working late just made it like clock watching and that's never a good thing. He also slept from ten till half six so he's definitely up there in my favourites today!

Yes it was just yesterday - he's generally quite a happy chappy and spends a lot of time quite alert now. Of course he cries as he's only six and a half weeks, but yesterday was a long day! I do pay attention to my son, it's all I do at the moment, so I know that yesterday was just a stand out.

I love him so much and he's absolutely fascinating and on the whole a very good boy. But I think I totally underestimated how overwhelming it is when it's just the two of you and just how demanding they can be! Plus he's started flailing his arms and legs now so has a tendency to punch me lol.

He's starting to take in the world and it's great but he's refused to sleep today really. He had an hour earlier and about 45 minutes on the sofa sleep, and he didn't even sleep in the car which is normally instant sedative! Or in his buggy which is the same. It's been very draining listening to the same sound on a three second loop all day! He is exactly like he was three weeks ago when he had a growth spurt only I'm more prepared now and he hasn't reduced me to tears.

At least we should get a good nights sleep out of him again. He'll be exhausted at this rate.

Oh love, he's still tiny. I hit the "wall" with all three at seven weeks and God, I remember the clock watching. Then I discovered a fairly-quiet-during-school-time ball pit with decent hot chocolate and sleb magazines (am now a Mastermind level sleb twaddler Wink).
