I'm just at my wits end. It started on Thursday last week with just occasional moaning and whinging every few hours. We put it down to teething as she's showing a lot of symptoms plus what appears to be a tooth can be seen under her gums.
Since Thursday its just got worse and worse. It's now at the point where she is having fits of completely inconsolable crying at least two or three times a day and does not stop whinging when she's awake.
She has had moments of happiness and smiles throughout the day but these are massively outnumbered by her crying fits. If my OH wasn't on school holidays right now, I dread to think what would have happened by now. He's been so good with taking her away/out for a bit when I've had too much of it.
We did notice last week she was taking more milk that before and sometimes her fits of crying are stopped by shoving a bottle in her mouth, which she will gulp down so quick she gives herself awful wind- this then adds to the screaming and doesn't solve anything. She also suffers from reflux, which she has gaviscon for however she's had that for a few weeks and has been totally fine. She's had a bit of every painkiller/teething medication going (not all at once!!) and nothing seems to have stopped this.
OH is currently upstairs trying to console her, she's been screaming for almost an hour now. She keeps stopping (I'm assuming he's distracting her or getting her to take her dummy) but then she starts up again within a few minutes.
I'm not sure if I'm asking for advice or just getting it all off my chest. It's got to the point where I wish I had never had her. Which just adds to how upset I feel because I love her to pieces and it's so conflicting.
Please tell me this won't last forever, I don't think I can cope anymore.
