DS not getting dressed in the morning...because of work?

So my DS is 20 months and generally a very good boy. I work 2 days a week and one weekend in 4 but have been covering extra weekends recently (but not doing any now for 8 weekends).
I wonder if he is feeling unsettled. he no longer wants to get dressed in the morning. He wont take his PJs off either. My DH just thinks he's feeling under the weather. I feel this has been brewing for a while and that he knows if we get dressed I may have to go to work.
On my days off I try to tell him I'm staying with him all day and I say goodbye to him on my days at work.
I dont know what to do next.
Should I be getting him dressed straight from bed so it's not connected with leaving?
Should I be telling him on the mornings I work I have to work but that may be then 2 hours of worry for him?
Any suggestions greatfully received.
I am pregnant so by January this shouldn't be an issue but I don't want him worrying I'm leaving all the time.

I think it's just normal - I had to battle dressing my DS1 from 18 months until 3 years old. It's a very common toddler fight! We just pinned and stripped and EVENTUALLY he learned that we were in charge and he had to get dressed.

Unfortunately DS2 is only 14 months but has already started tantrumming every morning about it.
