Any one got experience of child modelling with Elisabeth Smith?

On a whim I submitted a few snaps of my nearly 8 month old to two model agencies. It's not my usual territory and I was curious whether he would be accepted. Money is really tight as I'm a single parent and I thought this could give him a start on his savings. They have responded offering him a contract but I need to pay £189 for the contract plus £80 for professional pictures. No work is guaranteed but they say they only accept about 10% of applicants (still - I'm sure that's a lot of kids!).

I'm 99% sure I won't be doing this as I simply don't have the money and it's probably not my scene in the first place but I'm reading that they are a well known and reputable agency and wondering if I am passing up a great opportunity?

Most reputable ones don't ask for anything upfront I don't think. Look on the thread about m0delagency theres lots of info later in the thread about whats what in that world!

Thanks, it's strange as I think it is a reputable one, not a scam but I agree it doesn't seem right to pay up front and I'm sure if they really wanted you, they wouldn't ask for that.
