Me and my partner live on opposite sides of the city and recently he's been making it really hard for me to see him by being rude all day or ignoring me! Also he keeps starting fights saying I'm leaving him out of the pregnancy I've tried my best to involve him as much as possible without him being here but he won't listen !

It's really starting to stress me out could use some advice from another mummy / mummy to be ?

Are you going to live together at some point?

With the few details that you have given, I suspect that he's being an arse to get you to dump him. That way he doesn't have to look like he walked out his pregnant girlfriend. He can blame you to your face, saying you pushed him out by leaving him out of the pregnancy. Hmm

I'm not sure if we are we haven't really spoken about it too much. I'm trying to make the best of the situation but it's always me having to travel over to him. Recently when I try to confirm if I'm still coming he's not replying or he'll start an argument then wait till late at night to make up and ask me to come.

As I haven't been seeing him much I've been telling him what's been happening week by week and showing him the stuff I've bought but he just gets angry that I've bought stuff without him.

Really really upsetting me now.

@staywithme that's what I'm starting to think but I don't want us to be on bad terms for the sake of the baby !

What an awful situation for you. He sounds immature and scared by the sounds of it. Does this baby not fit into his lifestyle. He is out of order by the way.

I'm so sorry OP. He's a dick. What kind of man would make his pregnant girlfriend do all the running? You need to sit him down and have it out with him. You and your baby's health and happiness is the most important thing. What do you think would happen if you didn't contact him?

I know and with the pregnancy I'm starting to get tired so easily so traveling isn't much fun Sad

It's a weird one really we have set days to see each other due to work and other commitments. It's got to the point where we don't talk for the week so I'll message to confirm if we are still meeting and bam an argument ensues.

If I don't message and then hear from him late in the day when I can't come due to other plans etc he kicks off. If I message asking if I should still come we get into an argument. If I can't come on the day I'll ask to meet another time and he starts an argument saying I'm not going to come so no. Yes there have been times I haven't managed to come but it's been with good reason.

Then he argues because of how little he's seen me but he's not willing to compromise!

Do you think it's best I just ignore him for a while ?

I think you need to take a good look at this relationship.
Its not right. He is not right.

I know to be honest it's getting silly now I just want to be on good terms for the baby.

What do you think would be the best thing to do I've tried talking to him and telling him how I feel but it's not getting us anywhere?Confused

I think you should leave him to get on with it and start planning yours and your babies life. In saying that, once the baby is here he could end up the doting father. As it stands at the moment you have enough to worry about in looking after yourself. Just focus on you and the baby. Let him get on with being an arse. I know its not easy and you prob feel a bit vunerable. Take each day at a time and leave him to get on with it and contact you. X

Thanks! I think you're right probably best to just ignore it for now instead of spending my time getting frustrated over silliness! Need to stay calm and collected after all! ThanksWink
