Scratchy baby

Hello. DD is 6 months and loves to scratch her belly as soon as she gets the chance - whether I'm change her nappy, changing her clothes or giving her a bath. I keep her nails as short as possible but she still insists on scratching madly and she often leaves scratch marks :( She doesn't even try when she is fully clothed and her skin looks perfectly fine (ie no rashes or eczema or dry skin). She has done this for the last 2 months. I haven't changed my washing powder or baby's bath wash. I thought it might be the nappy she was objecting to, so have tried a couple of different ones, but no change. Has anyone else seen this? Could it be anxiety? She seems a very chilled baby in every other way.

She probably just likes the sensation. My dd likes to grab her belly rolls whenever she's undressed and occasionally her genitals As long as you don't notice any skin problems like eczema its probably nothing.
