I use it as I'm mildly allergic to the summer sun (my skin comes up in little lumps). It definitely works, even after swimming - I'd know if it had worn off as my skin would start to react! I use the SPF50 Extreme and also the SPF50 face one. It's the only sun cream I've found that stops my skin reacting. It does leave yellow stains on white clothes, but I haven't yet found one that doesn't.

Ooh tell me more please. I am prone to prickly heat rash and have very sensitive skin. Would this suit me and my 19 mo? Is it one of the ones that lasts all day?

It's amazing. Used it all last summer and it really does last all day. And I didn't get the yellow stains on white clothes which I got with Boots once. I get ours from allbeauty as well.

BentleyBelly I don't have children so not sure what the considerations are for babies, but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't suit you. I have sensitive skin too and have no problems with Ultrasun. It really does last all day, even after swimming as long as you don't towel too roughly, which would probably be good with a toddler as you would only have to wrestle with them once rather than having to reapply it! :)

Personally I prefer Ultrasun to P20 - the P20 factor 50 only comes in a spray, I didn't like the texture of it and it had quite a strong smell. Whereas the Ultrasun is just a normal lotion, smells similar to most suncream really.

I got some from Life&Looks the other day. They were cheaper than the Ultrasun website, but I didn't shop around much so no idea how their prices compare to others. Also QVC sometimes have deals on Ultrasun.

Another vote for P20. Lasts for ages (but it's runny, don't let it leak in your handbag) and paraben-free. I buy on Amazon. I was recommended P20 by friends living in Israel and Australia. It got me across Namibia and Botswana with 2 little ones with sensitive skin and I've been loyal ever since.

Came in here to post about sun cream and found this! Can you tell me does it irritate children's eyes at all? I'm yet to find a sun cream that I can use on DD's face without her ending up with streaming eyes, because of course no matter how carefully I apply it, she ends up rubbing it into her eyes anyway!

Hi Blushing, I've bought ultrasun which I will use on my childrens body then on her face I am using sunforgettable by colourescience, look it up. I found it last year after just terrible tantrums about putting sunscreen on her face. She loves putting it on now, thinks it's makeup

It's the only one my ds 1 (10) can wear without reacting to it or getting prickly heat.

I buy it on offer whenever I see it!

Dd uses Ultrasun for all day protection. She's used it in the UK and abroad in height of summer heat, once a day, and been perfectly protected.

Dh and myself tend to use P20 which is similar but more of an oil liquid than a cream. Dd doesn't like the p20 though.

Forgot to add. Dd's skin seems to be not like many sun creams and brings her out in a rash. She has yet to react to Ultrasun (or p20.)
