Parenting essentials kit list

Hiya,
we are taking my 6wo to his grandparents in a couple of weeks. They live a 2 hour drive away and we often stay there. It's a visit I anticipate doing a lot and so wanted to make a pack up of essentials so that if we forget anything they have it there already.

so far I have:
Nappy sacks (not nappies as sizes will change!)
wet wipes
Milton wipes
steriliser
changing mat
muslins
blanket

Is there anything else you'd add to the list at all?

Spare outfit
Spare bib
If you bottle feed some of those ready cartoons of milk are handy to have around especially the kind you can put the teat right on
Calpol sachets
Spare dummies if you use them

That is about all I can think off right now

I second the calpol, I always keep some at my parents, they are an hour or so away. Its been amazing how many times that one of the DCs has been perfectly well upon leaving but starts teething/gets a head ache by home time.

Also toys because they take up room. Feeding spoons and a bowl. Jar/pouch of food.

In the past having stuff at my parents has meant that we have left far sooner as there has been less to pack.

Assume there's a moses basket or crib with sheets there already?

A toy? More important as he gets older

Anything familiar for bedtime, a toy or blanket. We have a Ewan which comes everywhere with us.

I'd add an ear thermometer and probably a baby first aid kit, just so you and they know it's there

I would take something for the baby to sit in when you need to put them down.

Thanks! great list and suggestions. we'll be taking our moses basket with us but they do have a cot for when he's older....can't really face putting my tiny baby in a cot just yet!! I will be taking our toy box but that'll come back and forth with us I would think.

Pooing:
changing mat

nappy bags
spare changing bag
cotton wool

Sleeping:
spare sheets for moses basket
blankets
spare swaddle bag
night light
bath/room thermometer

being:
first aid kit including thermometer
calpol sachets
baby bath
towels
flannel
baby oil and baby bath lotion
Milton wipes
teething powder
perhaps a bouncer

love the wine and chocolate idea!

If you are going to be visiting regularly can you leave things there for future use? Eg baby bath
