Does anyone know how to turn off the metronome heartbeat ticky sound thing? Want to be able to see it ticking but not to hear it. Also want to be able to hear baby wakening....TYIA

Press the menu button on the bottom right of the screen. When the menu tabs come up, the one for the metronome is the top right one. Press that and it should go a dimmer color than the other tabs indicating that it is off. Then press the Ok tab to confirm and return to the normal screen.That's how it works on our model anyway

I don't think you can, I've tried and tried with mine and the ticking is either on or off.

Just press the menu button, arrow up/down until you get just the face and waves, then press select! And the tic symbol will still move just without the sound. Hth

I managed to silence mine don't know how though, sorry.
I find the whole control unit very annoying tbh and the instructions useless.

I couldnt get it to turn off so annoying lol I wondered if u can have the monitor on without the sensor pad so its just a normal monitor??

I turned the ticking off but it was more fluke than anything as the instructions didn't work. I just used trial and error, turning various things off, and by chance managed to turn the ticking noise off.
To use it as a normal monitor without sensor pad, press menu then the down arrow (three times I think) until only the little face shows.

Just done it using choccys method. Press menu, then press down until you get just the face and the waves and then press select then exit. Ticker is ticking but without sound. Yay!

Managed it last night on the millionth attempt
The 'select' button just didn't seem to respond. Gave up, & went to bed leaving DH to do the FF. When I came down it had worked!!

Didn't the baby bring feed set it off? How do you stop it going of without turning of the nursery unit?

Bump if you depress the down arrow button on one of the handsets for an extended period it puts the unit on hold. An H will flash on the screen of the handheld set whilst the main unit will have two constant green lights.

This means the movement monitor is paused, it will beep about once a minute to remind you it's off. You can turn the hand held monitor off at this point stopping the reminder beep and it still keeps the movement paused. Just turn the power back on and hold the down button again to turn the movement monitor back on.

I discovered this by accident but use it all the time now. I used to turn the main unit off, feed the baby then put the baby back to bed, sneak out of the room and realise I hadn't turned it back on. This is so much better.

Just checking you've all put a piece of wood (6mm thick) in the bottom of babies cot for when they're in there?
You can't put the sensor mat on slats as it'll keep going off when baby rolls off. However, the wood makes the whole cot 'live'

I'm an aspie, I read the instructions lots. I don't understand them though. Its such a complicated monitor. I bought it because DD was 2 months prem and I was used to an apnea alarm in the hospital but the instructions baffled me so much it took me 2 months to set the damn thing up. I'm not stupid either, well I have a high IQ but I don't think that measures common sense so maybe I am
