God I'm such a mean mummy

Today dd2 woke up happy and it only hit me then that she was so horrid over the last few days because she was still feeling more poorly than I realized.

I now feel so mean for being so impatient with her when she needed a lovely caring mother who would look after her. Sad

Hey. Stop beating yourself up. We all do it - we're not psychic, for heavens' sake - and under your current pressure and circumstances frankly I think it's bloody amazing you manage parenting at all. I know I wouldn't.

Yesterday I DS1 told me he had a headache, then when he was getting ready for school he said it was gone and that he would have tummyache instead, I thought he was trying to pull a fast one to stay off school and took him in anyway.

After lunch i got a phone call from the school - he'd been sick!!

MI is right - don't beat yourself up about it.

Thank you for your encouraging words. Smile

Still feel slightly mean, but have also decided not to be too hard on myself. Grin

I really told my DS off one day when he had been badly behaved & whingy with a playdate. Apologised to my friend for him etc.

Next day he developed a Bells Palsy (age 4) & I was mortified that he must have been feeling so ill & I had shouted at him Blush
