Moses basket too small - squashed xmas baby!

I am looking for some reassurance! Our 2 months old DD has outgrown her moses basket. In fact she has probably been too big for a while now (arms touching the sides) but now she is almost too long.
We ordered a cot to come yesterday but it failed to come and now wont until the 29th! Are we very bad parents squeezing her into the little basket for a week more? Her back is still straight and everything, it is just the basket a perfect oval around her outstretched body, and her head and feet nearly touch the bottom and top Confused.

We had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. The main problem was she woke more as she moved and her hands hit the sides which woke her up. Otherwise no problem. Your dc will love the cot when it comes.

DS grew out of his Moses basket at 9 weeks. We already had a cot in the nursery but I wasn't ready to move him to his own room, so we bought a travel cot (which we knew we'd need anyway) and had that in our bedroom as the cot we'd bought wouldn't fit in our room. He stayed in that until he was about 4 1/2 months. Plus side is that now he sleeps in travel cots reasonably happily as he's used to them.

Space saver cots a good option too for next to bed as you can take one off and create a side car. Great for feeding.

Ooh - i would go back to the 'olden days' and pop dc into an open suitcase or drawer on the floor and take some cute pictures
