Christmas presents for 21 month old boy

Any suggestions? He seems to be very much at an in between age. Loves cars, trucks, fire engines etc and cooking (he has a kitchen)I can't really get him to concentrate on playdough. Do they start playing properly with jigsaws soon? Are stickers and fuzzy felt too old for him? Thanks

What sort of price range? DS started getting into the Brio at that age. He was also well into jigsaws but think he was an exception. Has he got a garage?

I agree, jigsaws soon if not now.
fuzzy felt pieces are too small and can't be seen on the carpet by my DS.
Very popular currently with DS (22m) is a magic board thing, I can't remember what they are called but you use magnets and a magnetic ended pen to draw then pull a handle across to wipe it all clean again.
he is also obsessed with DD's dolls house, he loves putting the dolls to bed and arranging the furniture. I would have thought any kind of 'house' could be a hit including pirate ship/castle/garage/farm so long as the pieces inside are not too small.

Mine (2.2) is getting the Wooden World train set from ELC. My nephews (21 and 24 months) are getting from us a Noah's Ark from Wilkinsons- great at £13.99 and really nice too.

Pas Christmas gifts for my older two boys at this stage were a trike and a rocking horse.

Oops sorry- forgot- anything of the writing board etch a sketch variety (just gave nephew one he loved it- woolies or Argos).

ELC had an offer on garages yesterday: free cars if you bought one. It was a fab garage.

Easels are good too, ones with a magnetic side and a blackboard

my godson is 2 in march and i've got him a musical thomas train to pull along and comes with musical cds, which play nursery rhymes

I just bought a starter wooden train set for just under a tenner in Tesco, for a friend's dd (she will be 20months at Christmas)
