when a friend's name on FACEBOOK goes black,does this mean they've deactivated

someone who was on it all the time....well,whenever I was on it LOL!...has suddenly "disappeared".If her name's gone black,does this mean she's deactivated?

You mean when you search her, her name is black and non clickable? Is she on your friends list still?

If she'd cancelled your friendship, you wouldn't see any updates from her.
It's possible she's no longer on chat?
can you click on her profile? You will see when she was last on line.

Well,must admit I did wonder.But,don't think she had any reason.I've been on some mutual friends' pages and she comes up as black on theirs aswell.Or is that just what I would see?

can you see her page? if not think that means they have taken you off their friends list and changed their privacy settings. some people want it so only they can add people, rather than ppl being able to add them

She appears to have disappeared altogether.I only realized when I hadn't seen her usual status updates but can't even "search" her on anything now.

Yes if someone comes up black on your wall, other peoples walls and when you search her - it can mean both 1. she has deactivated her account or 2. you're not friends anymore.

She's disappeared from my friends list.When I looked at mutual friends lists,she's not on theirs either...or would that just look like that to me?

If you can't search her she may have blocked you, especially if you can't see her picture.

ok,well i've just searched her from my hubbies facebook log in and even went to one of my friends and viewed their friends and still nothing.do i take it then that she has deactivated? we hardly communicate so i can't see why she'd have reason to get rid of me.and she found me not the other way round.and i think i;m getting paranoid over someone i hardly know..............!

I think it just means they have made their selves unsearchable and made their profile super private.

i have the same problem. i still have a friend on my list but his name has gone black. i can't click on him and can't delete hime either. anyone has a solution how to delete? tahnks a lot

Some names on the account are blue but when I click a message appears saying the account is closed. They have no picture.
One name is black and has no picture. It means that that black name is not a closed account. But what is it?
