Anyone watch The Book Group?

I missed last week's episode of The Book Group and after watching last night's I'm a bit confused on a couple of things:
How did Rab come to have an affair with the Scottish footballer?
Who fancies who? I saw Kenny kiss Claire 2 weeks ago but did anything happen? Does she still fancy Barney?
I thought last night's confession scene was particularly funny.
