Nurseries

does your nursery accept employer childcare vouchers (the salary sacrifice type)?

We have had real problems with ds2's pre-school registering for and accepting Busy Bees childcare vouchers and I just wondered how many other people have managed to use them. Have posted another question about them in the money matters topic too.

I and dh have them for two different nurseries. He gets hs in a voucher form sent by busy bees and I take that in with a check for the balance for dd and mine are paid electronically by busy bees to ds's nursery to top up the nursery grant part.
ds's nursery were resistant at first to setting up a busy bees account but I got busy bees to put pressure on them via marketing and now I think there are 4 parents who use it. For the nursery its good because the money goes straight in to their bank.

I also told them it was the way I wanted to pay put the ball back in their court

I've used them with 2 nurseries no problems - I'm surprised to hear of problems, virtually everyone I know uses them for their nurseries.

thanks slalomsuki, I think the owner of ds's pre-school is a bit old-fashioned as she doesn't like direct bank transfers and resisted giving Busy Bees her bank details - which now means she's owed a lot of money as we couldn't set up vouchers from our side until she was registered. Ds leaves that pre-school at the end of this term and I think if we use Busy Bees again I will make sure the childcare provider understands the system and registers before we take up the place - although I'm worried that other people like her will just say they don't accept the vouchers.

We use vouchers (not busybees) to pay for preschool. The owner was happy to take them -I believe the company wrote to her first to obtain bank details, and now i pay online. Very straightforward.
