I'd love some feedback from anyone with thoughts on work-wear (more specifically boilersuits) for women who work in manual labour or the creative industries. As an artist, I wear overalls/boilersuits daily, but struggle to find any that flatter. On a recent trip to the middle east I came back with some beautiful lightweight turquoise suits that knock spots off those available in the UK or US. It may seem an odd topic to raise but I think that making elegant workwear for women in what were traditionally seen as 'mens jobs' could make those jobs more accessible to women, as it not only shows that they are catered for and thus exist (go to most tool shops and you'll only find work gloves/boots/overalls come in only size large) but it allows them to express their individuality in work as women in corporate jobs can. <br>I've posted some images of fashion boilersuits, all priced between £70 and £1200 and not designed to be worked in. Imagine the same quality of design in inexpensive fabric, perhaps with a coloured pocket or popper here or there, and let me know if this is something any of you would consider buying - to work in. Thanks.
