So far so good :) beer brought white sheets for Dd as was too worried about nappy explosions and sickyness but they are really good at the moment! DD is 7 months and is really enjoying stroking the sheets (she likes to pat and stroke things at the moment!) when she wakes up/as she falls asleep.

Haven't needed to wash one yet as only been on for 2 nights but will probably wash tomorrow/Wednesday, so will report back! But so far so good!

greathat · 22/04/2013 17:29

I've washed one of the 2 cotbed sheets and it seems nice and soft. Fits the cotbed mattress snugly which is good as some sheets don't feel that secure when they go on

Cotbed fleece blanket is being used more in the day as a laying around on mat as its been a bit warmer so he's just in his sleeping bag, but feels nice and is a good size

CuppaSarah · 22/04/2013 19:10

I got the white moses basket bedding. Used it for the first time this weekend while we were away in the carrcot. DD has never slept overnight in the carrycot but slept through ike a champ, so all good so far! Only issue on the carrycot and moses masket mattresses is the sheet comes up on the sides a little bit if you dont get it on right at the ends.

Loupee · 22/04/2013 21:36

We received the blue cotbed sheets and blue fleece blankets.
Overall impressions are good.
The cotbed sheets are a good fit, I also like the fact you get 2 different shades of blue, not sure why I like this, but I do. They seem soft and snugly enough for my PFB, he has no complaints. Not washed them yet, will report back if there are any issues there. £8 for 2 sheets seems a fair enough price to me.
The fleece blanket seemed quite thin on first impressions, however when you consider the price (£6, I think) you wouldn't really be expecting much else. This has been washed (as the cats also give it a paws up as a cat bed!) and has come out well, still lovely and soft with no bobbling.
If I knew anyone in the market for baby bedding, I would recommend they check out Tesco. I will also be looking at other items in the range, as the need arises.

lottytheladybird · 22/04/2013 22:27

What was your overall impression of the product?
Blue fleece blanket: I like the way it was rolled up and tied together with a ribbon. Nice, simple and pretty. I think it's a bit thin though, so I fold it in half to cover my baby with. I think the stars on the blanket are nice, but the long label on it seems a bit tacky.
Blue cotbed sheets: I thought the sheets could have been packaged a bit better. They were very bulky. I would have thought presenting them flat would mean that you could fit more on supermarket shelves and also if you were having them delivered to your home, they might fit through your letter box if they were flat. They fit very well on my son's cotbed and feel nice. I like the fact that they're 100% cotton. I prefer the light blue one.

What did you think of the quality? Have you washed the item? How did it cope with being washed?
Blue fleece blanket: I was initially a little disappointed that you couldn't tumble dry this, but actually, it dried very quickly, so it wasn't a problem. It coped well with being washed, but I think I'll have to wash it a good few times before being able to say quite how well it washes.
Blue cotbed sheets: It said on the packaging to wash the sheets before use, so I did. (I normally wash things before use anyway.) They coped well with being washed, but again I think I'll have to wash them a good few times before being able to say quite how well they wash.

And how about value for money?
Blue fleece blanket: It's quite good value for money, but I bought a similar fleece blanket from Mamas & Papas on special purchase for £5, which is cheaper than the Tesco one. I prefer the M&P one, as it's thicker and has a nicer label.
Blue cotbed sheets: I think they're good value for money

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this product to a friend?
Blue fleece blanket: Yes
Blue cotbed sheets: Yes

Now that you've tried a product from the Tesco Loves Baby range, do you think you'd try any others? If so, which one(s)?
The links aren't links, so I can't see the range. I'll post again once the links have been sorted out.

PolkaDotCups · 23/04/2013 07:20

Starting to think I have as much chance of winning the lottery as joining a product test! My DD really could use some new bedding as she just moved into her own room this weekend not bitter honest I wonder if MNHQ could feedback how many people apply each time (out of curiosity).

PolkaDotCups · 23/04/2013 07:39

Just to be in with the chance of a voucher, the place my DD finds it cosy and is happy to sleep is in our bed. We don't let her stay in with us all night but we do sometimes leave her with us to settle before quickly and smoothly doing a transfer!

ThedementedPenguin · 23/04/2013 10:20

I was wondering is there any way we can check to see what we where supposed to get. As my package had been ripped open. It was quite large so I'm afraid that something was maybe taken.

FudgeyCookie · 23/04/2013 11:00

Demented, inside mine was a small label and it had t written on the back on it with the (I'm guessing) catalogue number? Did you have one of those?

FudgeyCookie · 23/04/2013 11:00

Not label, sorry, peice if paper

neontetra · 23/04/2013 16:41

I'be got the white cotbed sheets and pink cellular blanket. We were impressed with quality and appearance of both on arrival - in fact dh, who opened the packet, emailed to say he was thinking of trying them out himself! Both are nice and soft, and have washed well. The blanket is a good size and weight. Good value too. Would definitely recommend to a friend if asked, and would consider buying more from the range, either for myself or as gifts.

katiewalters · 23/04/2013 16:56

I have been testing the pink moses basket fleece blanket and the pink moses basket 100%cotton jersey fitted sheets.
I thought the quality of both were great, the fleece blanket was very soft.
I washed both before use, and had no problems. They washed well and came out soft. Would be good if the blanket could be tumble dried.
I think they are both good value for money, would definately buy them at the prices they cost.
I liked that the moses basket sheets came in 2 different shades of pink, and that the sheets came in a protective plastic packaging.
I would definately recommend these products to friends and family, as they are good quality and good prices.
Id try the baby blankets

mildred37 · 23/04/2013 18:17

Oh dear. I'm going to g against the grain here I'm afraid.

I recieved the white Moses basket mattress covers and a white fleece blanket. I haven't had a chance to use them yet as DC1 is being lazy and has gone overdue, but I have washed both items ready for use.

The main problem I have with the sheets is that they don't fit my mattress! They are too short length wise and therefore won't be able to use then. However, the quality seems fine, not sure how durable they are but as they don't fit I can't really test them.

My main gripe is with the fleece blanket. Whilst soft, after 1 wash (40deg. with fairy, as recommended) it has bobbled quite significantly on 1 side. It's also quite thin, and I doubt it would be very durable.

As stated above, these are just my thoughts after 1 wash, no use as of yet. Hopefully DC1 will decide to make an appearance ASAP and I will get the chance to test, and will add my thoughts again afterwards.

weenwee · 24/04/2013 15:40

I tested the 2 pack of cellular blankies (white) and moses basket sheets (white).

~ What was your overall impression of the product?

I was impressed with both products. Nice packaging, good quality, and seems sturdy!

~ What did you think of the quality? Have you washed the item? How did it cope with being washed?

The cellular blankets were of median quality to every other cellular blanket I've owned (and we've been through a bunch!). Good quality.

I was really surprised at the softness of the moses basket sheets - I was NOT expecting that kind of softness for that price! Passed the touch test with flying colours!

Both were washed, and while they lost a bit of softness (I lined dried, not tumble dried).

~ And how about value for money? You can find out how much the item you've been testing costs here

In my mind, it was a much higher value for money than I would have guessed. And I must say I loved the cute rolling and ribbon wrap of the cell blankets, very Mamas and Papas! :)

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this product to a friend?

I already recommended it to two of my sister in laws!

~ Now that you've tried a product from the Tesco Loves Baby range, do you think you'd try any others? If so, which one(s)? You can see the whole range here

I'd be interested in testing the popcorn blankies, as they look so lush!

greathat · 25/04/2013 08:24

Oh yes I also liked the packaging of the fleece blanket but thought there was too much packaging on the sheets.

The 2 shades of blue in the sheets is nice too :)

Mrdarcyswife · 25/04/2013 10:34

Hi.

Thanks for sending me the pink cellular blanket and hearts fleece blanket in cot bed size

~ What was your overall impression of the product?
The celular blanket is lovely, really soft and loved the simple cord packaging
The heart blanket is lovely too, now I've unwrapped it. I have to say I hated the silver ribbon it was tied up with. I thought it made the blanket look really synthetic and cheap, put me right off

~ What did you think of the quality? Have you washed the item? How did it cope with being washed?
Again really impressed ith the cellular blanket. We don't use fabric conditioner due to allergies and sometimes this means things go a bit "crunchy"', but this washed beautifully and has stayed soft
The fleece washed fine too

They both arrived as the weather got warmer so havent been used loads yet

~ And how about value for money? You can find out how much the item you've been testing costs here
Both great value

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this product to a friend? Yes, especially the cellular one

~ Now that you've tried a product from the Tesco Loves Baby range, do you think you'd try any others? If so, which one(s)? You can see the whole range here
probably not at the moment we have most things we need, although I'm keeping an eye on the sheet reviews.....

LondonLancashireRose · 25/04/2013 21:00

We are testing the white cellular blankets for our moses basket/carrycot

What was your overall impression of the product?

Good quality, nicely presented. Soft enough to give to our baby.

What did you think of the quality? Have you washed the item? How did it cope with being washed?

Good quality. Not washed and dried yet but will post again when I have.

And how about value for money? You can find out how much the item you've been testing costs here

I think £7 for the two blankets is excellent value. The quality is certainly comparable to a similar product from a specialist baby shop.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this product to a friend?

Yes, absolutely.

I have been testing the white cotton jersey fitted sheets for moses basket.

~ What was your overall impression of the product?
Good first impression in attractive packaging and the material appears soft and of good quality. The elastic does seem a bit thick - it reminded me of boys' underpants! The thick elastic did actually become an issue when I tested the fitted sheets and the pull from it was so strong it made the edges of the mattress curl up. Given that moses basket mattresses tend to be quite flimsy I would suggest a good improvement would be to use a more delicate elastic without so much pull.

~ What did you think of the quality? Have you washed the item? How did it cope with being washed?
Nice, soft material that washed and dried well at 40. Other sheets I own do wash at 50 though which is useful when they become soiled.

~ And how about value for money? You can find out how much the item you've been testing costs here
Yes, I would definitely pay for these at £5 for a pack of two if the elastic issue was corrected or they were made to be a little bigger to compensate. They are much better value than leading competitors.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this product to a friend?
Not unless the elastic was changed as I am not happy that it makes the edges of a standard sized moses basket mattress curl up.

~ Now that you've tried a product from the Tesco Loves Baby range, do you think you'd try any others? If so, which one(s)? You can see the whole range here
I would like to try the cellular blankets.

orangeshortbread · 28/04/2013 15:43

Sorry I can't work out where to add the review.

FudgeyCookie · 29/04/2013 07:14

I've been testing the white fitted jersey cot bed sheets Smile

~ What was your overall impression of the product?

I thought the product was very nice, before being sent these DD had pink sheets, however i found the white sheets didn't stain as much as the pink ones I have.

~ What did you think of the quality? Have you washed the item? How did it cope with being washed?

I thought the quality was very nice, the sheets are soft and haven't stretched like some others we own. They washed well, DD bought up milk on the sheets a couple of time and I've found on other sheets its stained yellow, where as this time they have stayed lovely and white. DD also likes the sheets, as she likes to rub her face and head into her sheets/soft things, and she loved doing it on the sheets, as wel as stroking them with her hand Hmm

~ And how about value for money?

Value for money is good, I would definately buy more when I need them, as they have washed well and kept their shape and colour.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this product to a friend?

Yes I would, infact I already have!

~ Now that you've tried a product from the Tesco Loves Baby range, do you think you'd try any others?

Yes I would.

Thanks!
