How do you know that it's the babies kicking?

I am one paranoid mum to be and the recent topic of worry is the movement of the babies. I THINK they have popped around a little but these feelings are so infrequent and light that I can't be sure. I'm 22 weeks and should definitely feel them by now, right? Always thought that the kicks will be real kicks not tickles.

Not to start with, more like the sort of swooshy feeling you get when you are really hungry and your tummy is rumbling. They also feel like flutters. Oh I only had one baby each time btw I can't say if it's exactly the same for multiples but I didn't want you to go unanswered!

It depends on whether this is first or subsequent babies,as its late ron with first babies but earlier and earlier, usually with second and onwards.
My twins are babies number 4 and 5 for me and i have felt them both moving for about the last week or so,im 16 weeks today, can feel one moving at each side of me,can defo tell its separate babies and which one is moving each time.

I didn't feel much movement with my twins - was at least 22 weeks before I felt anything. One twin was behind the placenta so I only felt her move a few times. If you're worried ask for scan - they are ususally pretty generous on the scans with multiples.

Thank you for replays! It's my first pregnancy and in the last few days I've felt a bit of, how would I describe it, poking or wooshing in the same area of tummy. Nothing like that before. Could it be the babies?

Definitely the babes!! I had something exactly like that when I was pregnant with my triplets... sometimes, how should I describe it? do you know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you miss a step? Sometimes mine felt like that... or like 3 little butterflies were in my stomach... Congratulations on the babies btw!
