....or have we scared them all off with our inane chatter and multple moans!

?? Sorry about that! Pins and needles making my fingers feel waaay fatter than they are.

i think they feel The cold really easily. Joshua's hands and feet often look bluefish and are clammy cold.

Hoping the snow doesn't stop us going to centre parks but sticks around long enough to make it all pretty.

Back in the morning but thought I'd drop in and say hi.

Sokmonsta Sun 20-Jan-13 23:59:28

Evening ladies. Loving the snow here. Started falling at lunchtime and not stopped yet. Although not overly heavy.

James is home tomorrow instead of at inlaws. We were picking him up early as they have an appt so seemed easier. Emily is hoping for a snow day. She has spent most of the weekend outside with the neighbour's girls. The twins have just sort of looked at the snow, smiled but not been terribly fussed. Think it's because they feel t&t

3 happy kids............school closed tomorrow!! Can anyone tell me why all their friends come here? The day started with Alice being dropped off with her sledge at 11am, dd was still in bed, they had arranged it but hadn`t told me. At 12pm they go off to meet up with others, at 1pm they are all back here, kitchen like a bleedin chinese laundrey of soggy hats and gloves etc. Four girls go into the sitting room, my two boys swiftly come out. Thomas makes a sandwich and clears off to my brothers. James ends up back in the sitting room with the girls, lots of loud noise and laughter. At 4 pm another mate of the boys turns up, so now have 6 x`s 14yr olds. Girls get picked up at 5pm, Thomas comes home at 6pm, and their friend goes home at 7pm! Costing me a fortune in food, and now they are all off tomorrow!

Shabs- Glad you had a good time, even if it was with the little ones! shock at the bill tho.
Ruby- where were you? if I had known, you could have popped in for a cuppa!grin
Trips- I have no idea, can you treat them to a day out of each of their choice, up to a certain maximum££, give them a homemade voucher or something, that way they each get some individual attention, and it won't cost you right now.
Boys spent the afternoon sledging, the snow is continuing to fall here, and they are hoping for a snow day tomorrowgrin
DH went out and got a cooked chicken, and I talked him through doing the reattach of the roast dinner, which he managed very well, hope he will be able to do the whole thing next time.wink

rubyrubyruby Sun 20-Jan-13 16:26:52

I was over your way today bubby wink

Glad you had a good time Shabs x

Can't believe your insurance quote Trips! shock is it worth it though?

DH thinks it may be ok to overlap with his partner for a week so they are fidcussing it tomorrow. If we take DCs out of school for the last few days of term it may be doable. I have never done this before. We can't go at any other time (GCSE results)

triplets Sun 20-Jan-13 11:23:42

Because they all love you thats whysmile Glad you ha a good time, imagine spending all that money and you hadn`t? What the hell can I do for the kids b/day. Its next Sunday, just looked to see whats on at the cinema but nothing for them, Gawd knows. Lots of snow here, can see there being no school tomorrowsad

Morning girls xx

We went!!! £22 in taxi's hmm £15.00 for half a lager, glass of cola and a small glass of wine.....robbing gits....good night though - spent all night babysitting for my nephews 3 year old and 10 month old - but they were the most fun of anybody there. Dancing with Grace (3 year old) while holding Elliott who is heavier than his big sister LOL. My arms are aching this morning. Tom said 'how come you always end up with everybodys kids Mum?'

bubby64 Sat 19-Jan-13 18:54:13

Shabs- I hope you have put on you gladrags and gone.
Trips- that premium is extortionate! Is it the only one you have found?
Ruby- can he ask again, is there no chance of him getting the time, if night
other, can you not move the dates to a time it may be more feasible?
DH is really trying hard here, and I am getting frustrated on his behalf as the boys are really being a pain in the behind already this weekend with refusing to do homework, help their dad, or anything we ask. We have decided to back off, and tell them we have given them our opinion and it is now up to them, and they will have to accept any consequences of that decision. I am fed up with the school, they have these communication books we have to sign each week, or the boys get s detention, and both before Christmas and the past couple of weeks, I have put in that neither both is writing in their homework, and how can we help ensure they are doing it if the school don't check this. Getting no response at all, why should we or the boys bother with these books if their tutors don't bother!

triplets Sat 19-Jan-13 14:41:20

Oh Rubes............no chance? How disappointing, any chance of you going and him meeting up with you? I was looking forward to doing some research for you. Did I tell you the insurance comp have said they will cover dh for the cancer? Latest from them is, £568 for a one off 3 week holiday, cover cost of any treatment if needed, we pay first £1000 excess and no cover inc for cancellation!! This quote will hold if the scan he just had is clear. It spoils wanting to go, because we would have to go in Aug prob, Easter is horrendously expensive, and he would have another ct due in July. Bloody difficult. So sat here looking at other ideas to cheer me up!

rubyrubyruby Sat 19-Jan-13 12:03:34

Run in the snow Chops - well done!!

I don't think DH can get the time off when we need to go.

Chopstheduck Sat 19-Jan-13 11:50:19

agree with rubes, shabs, once you get out of the house it will be fine!

Why not, rubes? sad

<<Eyes up the cake and looks at banana on desk in disgust>>

I went for me run, in the SNOW! Was hard work, but fun - took dt1 with me and had snowball fights on the way home grin

rubyrubyruby Sat 19-Jan-13 10:22:57

You will enjoy it when you get there Shabs - get on you gladrags!!

Chops/Trips - It looks like our holidays not going to happen now sad

.......and still more of the white stuff. Going to my lovely SIL's 50th birthday party tonight. My parents are coming too - neither of them are at all well. Its being held in a very posh part of Bolton grin yep we have posh bits of Bolton!! I want to sit in the house!! I dont want to get in a taxi while it attempts to get up the hill to the venue. I want to sit here!! I want to go and have a fag outside my own house - not try to find the rest of the 'lepers' in the 'lepers smoking hut!!!' Oh I am a misery!!

triplets Fri 18-Jan-13 23:36:51

<<Trips creeps in, puts WD40 on trolley as its gone rusty.......4 slices of left over birthday cake and her last bottle of dandelion and burdock>>

triplets Fri 18-Jan-13 15:48:27

Thats good Bubbs a change of 4 walls does you the world of good. Stocked up in town now awaiting the snow, its -3 outside and getting very windy. Dd was told to come straight home with no friends, so she phones up and ask if she can go to town. Told her to come home................she did, bringing the friend with her. All she will wear is a hoody, God she wears me out.

bubby64 Fri 18-Jan-13 12:51:58

Snowing again here too, blooming cold, went out of house for the first time since leaving hospital this morning, did me the world of good just to have a face to face chat with friends, I hadn't realised how low in mood I had become just sitting here on my own all week.

Chopstheduck Fri 18-Jan-13 10:15:25

ours did that names for genitals too. Some I'd never heard of!

Snow has arrived here. I have just cycled to tesco and back in it, now going to make some broccoli and stilton soup for lunch.

grin Trips, I read your message and thought 'cucumber??? wonder why she said cucumber!!' Then realised my message about carrotts!!! LOL LOL LOL

rubyrubyruby Fri 18-Jan-13 09:04:53

Same here Bubby - every branch and blade of grass has been white all week unless the suns been on it. I will let you know if there is any heading your way from this direction wink

bubby64 Fri 18-Jan-13 08:56:49

Oh yes, and our snow has remained unmelted since Monday, shows how cold East Anglia has been this week, it usually melts away within a couple of days.

bubby64 Fri 18-Jan-13 08:53:11

Chops- already done the rice thing before I checked for upgrades, didn't worksad.
Trips- I'm sure he will appreciate the cake more today, he prob didn't feel much like eating it yesterday anyway, and he will also know you made it ready for bday, as he knows you haven't had time since.
Shabs- in sex education they separate the girls from the boys, then the had the boys say as many names that they knew for private parts, prob to get it out of their system, apparently, a room of 30 boys came up with 32 different expressions, the mind boggles!!

rubyrubyruby Fri 18-Jan-13 08:42:08

Nothing here yet.
I'm going to pop to Sainsburys in a bit to get food for the weekend so we can hibernate smile

Morning girls xx

About 3 inches of the white stuff here....but - joy of joys it is frozen solid and very, very windy outside.

Chopstheduck Fri 18-Jan-13 06:40:31

Sokmonsta Fri 18-Jan-13 02:58:55
