Audio books

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I'm looking for a big selection of audio books for my husband for Christmas.

We are both into autobiographys but for work he is allowed to use a speaker but as he works 12 hour shifts has got bored of music and has taken to listening to short radio dramas - terry and June, the archers and Sherlock Holmes audio books.

Can anyone recommend any inexpensive audio books? I've found a few large Agatha Christie CDs on eBay but I have no idea how suitable that will be.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Does he have WiFi at work? Nearly all the Agatha Christie books are on YouTube. (There are loads of audio books on YouTube)

Could you get him an Audible subscription then he can choose a new book a month (or 2 if you're feeling flush!)

Our library has hundreds of free audio books -check their website.

I like the Bill Bryson books (although not the newest ones) and Jurassic Park. I have also made my way through the Song of Ice and Fire books (but it depends what his job is, they aren't pretty listening...) I have the dark tower books, but I haven't started them yet.

I second the library. Just go into the library and register and there are thousands of all sorts of books you can download for free. The app is called overdrive if he can download it to his phone and play from there. (Need to get a code from library first)
