How long to safely wait before Ttc and time off work

Hey guys. I miscarried last friday and not sure if i'm normal or not but i want to Ttc when my body feels better asap. Is this normal? Nurse said wait til next af but i'd rather start in a week or 2. Some say this is fine but others have said it's dangerous and baby could have neural defects etc. Any advice? I've heard you're more fertile after mc and feel like once cramps have stopped it would help me to Ttc. I've self-certified from work this week but am already fretting i won't be ready to go back on monday. I was off for ten weeks two years ago after some other life trauma so i get paranoid about what they think. I was only 6weeks so they might think i'm wierd needing this length of time! What should i do? X

Award very sorry to hear you MC. I had a MC last September and am now 8 weeks pg!!

I waited until my cycle returned to normal as I read something about the egg needing to be developed etc... and it made sense to me. But then on the other hand I read that some women who became pg after MC before starting a normal cycle had a perfect baby.

I really know what you are going through and being on that track to ttc makes you think you will recover what you have lost. Give yourself time to heal. If you are emotionally strong then ttc straightaway may be right for you... good luck in what ever you decide.
