OK well here it goes lol...

I recently had a MC, but when i was gettin my bloods checked, on more than one occasion, they said my hcg has started to rise again. So they done another scan and still saw nothing and said everything looked normal. My hcg is still rising so they thought it was maybe an ectopic preg, but still cant find anything. Im in no pain whatsoever, so they have asked me to go in again for more blood. They mentioned something about a prepnancy of unknown location....

Quite worried and was wondering if anyone knows anything about this or has went through something similar?

Suzi

Ectopic IIRC occur outside of the womb and not just i the fallopian tubes.
My MC was due to PG in my cervix apparantly.

its so strange though beacause they were expecting to find something similar to what you said through scan, but cant find anything at all!! They called me a medical mystery which isnt that reassuring lol

Well went to the horpital 2day, the HCG is starting to drop again, so they are starting to rule out ectopic but time will tell if my levels drop they way they are supposed to.

thanks jules

turns out it was an ectopic, was treated with methotrexate on monday past, and have been today for my first check up. waiting for results of bloods.

everything you said is exactly the same to what happened with me, its so stressful isn't it?

But hopefully this is it at an end!

Am i right in saying its 3 months before you can TTC again?

I'm sorry to read your sad news, Suzi, but glad the hospital was monitoring you well.

It's worth going to www.ectopic.org.uk, they have lots of useful information about methotrexate, and also have forums. But yes, 3 months before you can ttc again if you have had the one shot of Mtx.

Take it easy.

Dawnas

Well my case gets a little more complicated lol

because my cycle runs over 2 1/2 months they were finding it difficult to pin point when i concieved, therefore i could have been anywhere from 5 weeks to 11 weeks, so i dont think testing you after has anything to do with how far on you are!

After i had the "MC" i had no pains after, so thought an ectopic was unlikely. Stranger things have happened!

you know your own body, and aslong as you are in good health, but think about getting your bloods tested again, just to be on the safe side.
