Taking Prednisolone after recurrent miscarriage

Hi,

I'm just looking to hear other people successful or unsuccessful stories on taking prednisolone after recurrent miscarriage.

Basically I'm 28, I have a gorgeous 3 year old little boy. Last year I suffered 3 miscarriages. 1 in Jan at 7 weeks, 1 in July at 5 weeks and 1 in October at 9 weeks although I didn't find out about this one till my 12 week scan.

I decided to give my body a good rest and see some specialists to try and find some answers. I had all the standard tests done and everything came back fine. Not satisfied I decided to see Professor Jan Brosens who is part of the team lead by Siobhan Quenby. I had the scratch and sample taken and it came back with uNK results of 7.57% so higher then they should be. I've just found out I'm pregnant and I've been taking progesterone pessaries and now started on prednisolone.

I'm terrified and every waking second is spent obsessing over everything despite trying not too.

I was just looking for people going through or have gone through the same thing?

Emma

Hi Emma, I've just seen your thread. So sorry for your losses. No experience but I'm about to start. How is it going for you now?

Not great to be honest, stupidly missed the part apart taking them early on so I really suffered with insomnia but as soon as I started taking them in the morning instead it got better. Generally didn't feel well these last few months but now I'm off them and the progesterone I'm starting to feel a lot better. They seemed to of done the job fingers crossed so hopefully it was all worth it. Are you pregnant already? Are you taking them due to previous miscarriage. Wishing you all the best.

Prednisolone is the devils drug. I suffered 3 mc's last year and gave birth to dd 8 weeks ago after taking baby Asprin throughout pregnancy and prednisolone from week 6 to week 12 (prednisolone was for something different though as I didn't go through testing, but would be interesting to know if it was the thing that made the difference)

Should mention I meant it was the Devils drug due to the side effects
