So on boxing day I found out that I was pregnant huge shock as I had the coil in. Anyway I went to the Dr's last Tuesday and they sent me to the hospital they did blood tests and sent me home to return on Thursday for a scan. Scan showed a sac but the sonographer thought it could have been too early. Had further blood tests and it showed my HCG level had gone from 400 to 600 (tue-thur) the Dr also removed my coil. Iv been having brownish discharge but just been to the toilet and I'm now bleeding not lots but there was a small clot. Does this mean I'm losing the baby? The hospital are meant to call me this week to arrange another scan but what should I do now? Any help or advice greatly appreciated

Sorry to hear this Jen

I'm afraid none of us can tell you if you are losing the pregnancy, I sincerely hope you're not though. The waiting and not knowing is awful though isn't it?

It really is. I called the hospital and spoke to the Dr who removed my coil but he didn't seem overly concerned so just have to wait and see. Have lost some of my pregnancy symptoms so I'm rather worried. Didn't have spotting with my first

Hi MerdeAlor I'm OK my spotting has almost stopped I think/hope. Got a scan on Thursday so fingers are firmly crossed

That sounds positive. Having a coil removed can make women bleed so fingers crossed it was a normal reaction to its removal.
Let us know what happens?

Bit worried as my pregnancy symptoms seem to have died down a bit tho. Will keep you updated
