Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

I'm acting like an old boot, its only 16days since MC surely not PMT?

As the title really..

I am still getting very very light brown spotting, this had stopped for a few days and then started very slightly again at the end of the week.

Is it possible to have PMT yet? I read somewhere that you need to have at least 20 days of no bleeding before af appears again, is this correct?

I am being such a grump (and although I know I am, I can't seem to sort myself out!)

TIA

Hi loola,

Sorry for your loss.

The 20 day thing comes from this link

also has lots of info about recovery and whats "normal" - although everything is abnormal at this stage. Your hormones will be all over the place still. Have you done a home preg test to see if it comes up negative yet?

Hope the info in the link helps, but remember nobody expects you to sort yourself out 16 days after a mc, be a grump as long as you want! You really do need time to grieve your loss.

hugs xxxx

Thanks Mummyabroad , HPT came up negative well over a week ago.

I just want to be back to normal, and family etc. already seem to think I am/should be!

BTW that website is really helpful, thanks for that x

Hi loola,

Thats good news if your pregnancy hormones are out of your system, however, you could still experience some mood swings as your cycle tries to get itself sorted out again, so watch out for those.

I know what you mean about family thinking you should be recovered fairly quickly, I guess that happened to me too. Its amazing how much ignorance there is. Then again before I had a miscarriage I had no idea what a huge thing it is either.

Dont push yourself or rush to "get back to normal" too fast though, sometimes avoiding facing your grief can make the road to recovery take even longer. You have lost something important to you and its OK to take some time out to deal with that.

look after yourself xxxxxx

I'm a total mess after a miscarriage last week. My hormones are all over the place, and I can feel fine for ages then completely fall to pieces.
I can't offer any help, other than that you're not alone.

I know how you feel.I had a MC about 3 weeks ago and although I have stopped bleeding, my moods are all over the place, I thought I was coping ok, but this week I have been getting very upset and miserable about it all. I suppose it will take time to get back to "normal".
