Good stuff Indith. I must admit, I'm completely happy with curry because the DDs are a spice-free zone (one day I hope to go somewhere that isn't Italian!). The going out's the main thing, though. I'm not fussy! 10th is very good for me.

I'll start the list

  1. Indith
  2. Stickylittlefingers.

As slf said- it is the going out that is the main thing so I don't have a particular preference but there had better be a cocktail for me at some point 10th fine for me. Should we put something in chat directing NE bods this way? We got loads of newbies when SPB put that AIBU up but then we didn't get round to organising anything Blush

10th will be fine for me. Dad not coming over in December due to flights being ludicrously expensive. Have directed Couriselle here as well via FB.

LeggyBlondeNE · 28/10/2011 16:14

I have asked permission to go out and play...

Indith · 28/10/2011 18:02

Bump!

Yes to chat thread if you like. I'm posting and running though.

Bump for the Christmas meal!

4 of us seems a little on the pathetic side. Where the hell is Juney these days? Seeing SPB on Saturday so if she hasn't made it here by then she shall get properly poked. How about Frozen? Leggy I assume you can prod her?

AnitaBlake · 02/11/2011 20:44

Anita - no problem, I can pick you up!

I am hoping DD's sleep improves or I may end up bringing her with me!
She has been asleep by 7pm, but has been waking before 10pm, however last night she woke briefly at 11pm for a quick nosh before sleeping through to 5am. Sadly she and DS conspired to decided that 5am was time to get up

Little minx is now back asleep in her cot upstairs with DH!

Indith · 06/11/2011 19:47

Right so that is 6. I will attempt to book something in the next couple of days then, probably book for 7 people in case juney or someone else reappears.

Shall I start withteh Fat BUddah since we have attempted that one and failed on a couple of accasions? I will not book the Slug and Lettuce just in case you have to bring the small one kara (no babies allowed in the evenings).

spiggy · 06/11/2011 20:13

11pm-5am?! Kara I HATE you. T is still going hourly at night- 2 if I'm lucky.

He has just had lots of dinner and pretty much a whole peach so according to parenting myth he should sleep through. Anyone want to place a bet on that actually happening? Anyone? No? Me either.

Indith, that sounds like a good plan. Am trying to persuade my friend to come along to a meet up as she is due DC1 in March. I've told her you are all lovely as long as you are all kept supplied with cake

juuuuuuuuunnnnnneeeeyyy. are you out there?

Indith · 06/11/2011 20:49

I thought it best to ignore that part of Kara's post.

I have decided though that since this baby is a boy he will be exactly like his brother which means that by 5/6 months he will be going to bed at 6.30 and sleeping for roughly 13 hours. Sometimes waking for a feed around 5 and going back to sleep until 8.30. He will also be of a similar size to his brother, people keep telling me I look small and I refuse to push another one her size out again. Sadly though I am actually rather vast in size and I think they are just telling me I look small as the alternative comment would be "my goodness what the hell have you got in there? Are you sure it isn't triplets?"

OP posts:
SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 06/11/2011 20:56

Indith, you are not vast, trust me :)

stickylittlefingers · 06/11/2011 20:58

the lack of sleep stories are a great way to keep any incipient broodiness under control Grin. Hourly sounds grim spiffy, however are you managing to make sense? I'd be a gibbering wreck.

Indith I found out after I'd had DD2 that the entire street was convinced I was going to have twins but wasn't telling anyone. They didn't say I looked enormous at the time either! Tho they were always making me sit down Grin.

Looking forward to seeing you all Friday.

stickylittlefingers · 06/11/2011 21:00

sorry, that was an automatic spellcheck for spiggy - I need to take more notice. At least it wasn't squiffy!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 07/11/2011 10:18

Grin slf. Do you like my new name?

Co-sleeping means that a lot of the time he's feeding I am dozing so it isn't as bad as it could be and DP's working pattern means that for 4 days out of 7 I can hand him over at 7am and go back to bed for a couple of hours which really helps. He is feeding not crying all that time so it could be worse!

Indith, I don't think you look big. I found with T that I felt bigger than I had before because time seemed to be going really quickly so I always felt I was not as far along as I actually was. (that probably makes no sense at all but I can't think of a better way to put it!) Did you measure big with DD? Or was she a very large surprise?

Oh, and the boy? Slept til 11 and then up all night.

stickylittlefingers · 07/11/2011 13:53

Grin spiffysquiffyspiggy excellent name, tho very hard to say out loud. I'll make you say it five times after the cocktails in December...

KaraStarbuckThrace · 07/11/2011 16:19

Don't worry, that 6hr sleep didn't last, she is now back to her usual 2-3 hours, although I confess like Spiggy, they are mainly dozy sleepy feeds lying down. Last couple of feeds during the night on only give her the right boob which means I can express on the left when I get up in the morning.
