I've been low carbing for quite a while now, very, very happily. Today I walked to my local supermarket to use their scale, it has a printout which shows body fat percentage. I am monitoring this as my original % was 50% Shock.

I was delighted to find it was now 39%! It means that five and a half stone of me is fat, originally it was more than eight and a half Blush.

Anyway, I was standing outside the supermarket looking at my little bit of paper, basking in joy Grin, when a man working in the back of a lorry shouted "are you waiting for a lift?"

I shook my head and he then said "I wondered if you might want any of these boxes of donuts, I've just picked them up to take back to depot, they're past their sell by date and will be trashed."

In all my wildest carboholic dreams I never imagined this scenario Shock.

I said "no thanks" and walked away. Blimey, there must have been 30 boxes of the things!

I haven't had a single sweet carb for months. They just seem to stimulate my appetite Confused. Best to keep away from them.

The guy said that there are usually customers around the supermarket car park who will take them, but today was quiet. I'm still shocked about it, but pleased I said no and walked away. Since doing low carbing, I really notice just how much carby stuff surrounds us. I'm at a tea house just now, sipping a gorgeous blend of herbal tea, but this place also specialises in cakes, and they are incredible creations. I leave them alone but sometimes wish I could try them. I just don't want to go back to that binge mentality that accompanies carby stuff Sad.

Oh wow you are a machine, I could not have said no to free donuts. I like to think I wouldn't have eaten them all but I probably would haveBlush

I am a bit all or nothing so fasting works for me.

Yes Jean, I like fasting too. I don't have breakfast (was so pleased that the overrated breakfast was kicked into touch, I never have appetite in the morning), so will just eat lunch and dinner and occasionally not lunch either, depends if I am eating out later (big steak!) or fancy coffee with a dollop of double cream Grin (oh, how I love low carbing!) .
