Low-carb diets

Regular exercise on low carb?

Hi wondered if anyone could advise. I want to start a low carb diet as I think I could do it. I currently run between 4-5 times a week and do weights 3 times a week. Is a low carb diet sustainable? How many carbs should I be aiming for per day?

Yes, it's absolutely sustainable! It may take you a few weeks to fully switch your body to burning fat rather than carbs, and during that time you're likely to find exercise tougher than usual.

Have a read of "The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance" by Drs Volek and Phinny.

It's impossible to say how many carbs you should be having, as everyone is different, and we tolerate different amounts.
