does anyone have a good recipe? am presuming this one is no good?

It depends if you're doing Bootcamp or Bootcamp Light really - it's not good for Bootcamp, but would be OK for Bootcamp Light.

How are you doing, by the way?

still going smile 19.2lbs down and start of week 12 for me. how could i make it BC friendly?

BIWI Tue 23-Jun-15 13:41:51

It's the sweeteners and orange juice that make it BCLight - to be honest, as you're in week 12, you probably should be doing Bootcamp Light anyway. NO need to be as restrictive with the carbs.

I'd say go for it - just make sure you keep the rest of the food you eat on that day low in carbs.

Well done on the 19.2lbs! flowers

will i still lose on BC light? as i still want to lose another 12 lbs if possible.

for bc friendly should i leave out the orange zest as well as the juice and honey?

Wow, fantastic weight loss nappy glad you've obviously managed to find a way to manage LCing for yourself smile

BIWI Tue 23-Jun-15 22:08:43

Yes, you should still lose weight - but see how it goes.

nappyaddict Wed 24-Jun-15 15:54:19

BIWI presumably the weight loss is slower on BC light? why is it recommended to move to BC light after a certain length of time?

SayraT thank you smile

Because really low carb isn't really that good for you over a long period of time (more and more stuff I've been reading about this), and also it can get very boring, making it harder to stick to

BIWI Wed 24-Jun-15 16:44:26

nappy - I know you're going to ask me for information about long term low carbing, and I can't find it right now! I'll ask StuntNun as I think she has some stuff about this

nappyaddict Fri 26-Jun-15 07:30:10

Thankyou smile

StuntNun Fri 26-Jun-15 23:04:19

There's nothing wrong with eating low carb, even zero carb, permanently so long as you don't have any thyroid issues. Some people find that when they have followed a low carb woe for an extended period then they experience fatigue, low temperature, hair loss etc. And this is a sign of their diet restricting thyroid hormone production. If you feel good then keep eating low carb, if you're bored and having trouble sticking to it or you don't feel great then either slightly increase carbs (by following BCLight) or have an occasional carb refeed.

nappyaddict Sun 28-Jun-15 09:00:43

what's a carb refeed?

StuntNun Sun 28-Jun-15 11:47:47

Every week or two weeks you have a carby meal preferably healthy carbs such as baked potato, white rice, sweet potato, grapes etc. rather than cakes, bread etc. It can boost your leptin and help weight loss in some people.

nappyaddict Thu 02-Jul-15 21:55:20

is there a maximum amount of carbs for these refeed meals?
