When to move on....

H and I separated in January after about 18 months of unhappiness and he moved out at the end of March. We told the kids we were splitting during the Easter hols.

We are all getting on okay, dc exceptionally so.

Anyhoo, I've been asked on a date at the end of May (guy I met through a friend a few weeks ago). I feel totally ready to move on and, after all it's only a date, but then again wonder if other people will think it's too soon?

Do you think it is too soon? IMHO, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Go out and have a pleasant evening with someone

If you are ready then go for it! Like you say, it is only a date. Who cares what anyone else thinks!

I know you are right, I feel very ready as things were over between me and h for a long time before we actually split.

As I said it's just a date, and it's not as if I'm bringing him home to meet the kids!
