Im really angry.
I arranged a girly night/weekend in where me, my sisters and a friend were going to have a night in with an indian take away and then have a massive assult on the decorating on my flat the following day.
The place is a complete state and I havn't lived in it long but am really desperate for everything to be ready for when new baby is born at the beginning of june as I dont think I have got a chance of doing any decorating once bump is here.
Xp has made numerous promises of help but they never materialise so i really thought that this would ensure my living room would be totally sorted! Was actually feeling quite excited at the prospect of sitting in my living room with it completely finished.
So sat came along and I spent most of the day cleaning the flat so there would be no distractions from decorating and so that everything was ready to get on with this. Indian arrived and we sat and ate it... long and short of it is that my previously immaculate flat looked like a hurricane had torn thgough it, this did bug me but i thought that it would be sorted in the morning. It is now sunday evening and the flat still looks a total mess and the only decorating that has been done was done by me. everyone just sat and watched me! Im not very good at confronting people but i totally blew my top. Im so dissapointed that my living room isnt finished and that the people I really thought i could rely on have let me down so badly. My sister stormed out of the flat and said she will only speak to me when i appologise to her. I know this sounds really childish and pathetic but I have to use my time quite strictly to be able to fit housework, coursework being a mum etc in and so i really dont know when i will be able to get the decorating finsihed. Sorry rant over... feel pathetic, but it has upset me quite alot.

I guess you're just not feeling supported, and thats enought to be very upsetting.

Did you make it clear you wanted them to help you with the decorating?
I guess maybe they didn't want to spend their weekend doing someone else's DIY? Do they work all week or look after their own children?

lol well the most anoying part of it is that it was my sisters sujestion in the first place. Had quite a lot of stress over the past few weeks and had been told to take it easy by the doc as it was putting stress on the baby... this weekends events were anything but easy lol. They have gone now, so i feel a bit more relaxed. ds is just about to go in the bath and will be in bed for 8... so im going to enjoy lark rise to candleford and put my feet up. Have managed to get the flat tidyish so at least it wont bug me if i put my feet up. lol ds is amusing me as our local football team r on bbc 1 and he's getting very into the game! very funny! thanks for the support
