How exciting!!

I know it feels very scary though. I went on my first date since the other week, and I was very very nervous, but I felt more comfortable once we were out & I had a few drinks inside me!

You will be fine! Where is he taking you?

I've no idea

something where you have some potential distraction to talk about, cocktails sounds good

I went out for a drink & something to eat on my first date the other week, but he now wants to take me to the cinema, which isn't ideal as you don't really get a chance to talk to each other.

Where did you meet him? What's he like? Tell us more!

Pinkchampagne · 22/08/2007 18:51

Lush sounds good!

So what's this jacket like?

I think you need to keep it casual (don't look as if you've made a lot of effort), but perhaps accentuate your best bits without being too obvious. The last thing you want is to feel uncomfortable or too exposed. What's the jacket like? Could you wear it with jeans, a pretty top & some wedges / nice boots?

snowwonder · 22/08/2007 19:02

i need to get new jeans on saturday,

the jacket is the short style, light green linen with big white flowers embrioded(sp) all over, it is very nice and my first purchase in moonsoon for myself, I was walking through to the girls dept and spotted it,

was going to go to M&s to get a new white top to wear with it, and brown heel boots...? sound ok or not

Sounds lovely. I'm sure you'll look irresistable

Will you have time to do your nails and generally have a bit of a grooming session? Not that he'll notice, but I tend to feel more scrumptious if I know I've put a bit of legwork in, appearance-wise, before a date.

We met in the bar of a hotel in town, and we stayed there all night.

I couldn't even remember exactually what he looked like because I only met him once before, back in December, and I had a few drinks in my system at the time! (I was in contact with him via text, but wanted to wait until I had moved out before meeting up with him) So I was extra nervous before hand!

I went quite casual for the date. I wore jeans, a halter neck top & wedge shoes.

Where did you meet this lush man?

I think things have just happened at the right time, i also went on a dating site and spoke to some guys and it gave me so much confidence about myself which has been severly laking since ex left me,,
