Xp spending alot of time with his family and it's making me nervy

He went to stay with his sister last week, said he was going tuesday and coming back friday.

Anyhow he rang the kids today and he was still at his sisters. Makes me nervy as I know what they are like and they will be filling his head with loads of rubbish about me not being able to ban him from seeing the kids (i haven't, have banned him from seeing them here), and even telling him to get custody. When his sister split with her hubby, he went for custody and won. They are now back together but even so, I just know they will all be saying to him that if he got the kids, he'd get a house and wouldn't need to work etc etc.

Oh god Try not to worry, easier said than done tho. Could he be arsed with the effort required to get custody?
A cheek from someone who needs a crisp £20 note to take them out of your front door I think

He on his own couldn't be arsed no, but with that bunch of low life scroungers egging him on then yeah I think he could be persuaded.

He always tells me how he hates visiting his family but yet everytime he does, he gets sucked in and stays longer than orignally planned.

I don't mind if he moves there permanently, there is no way on this earth i'd stand for him having custody...ever.

Emma, there is more chance of us spotting Elvis in the local than there is of him getting custody of your children.....it just would never happen. He has quite clearly proven that he is a shit father.
Dont even spend a minute more worrying yourself over this.

I think the kids would come back to you whether he was meant to have them or not. Try not to worry Nutty. Hopefully he will move and filter out of your life over the years.

No I know, but I know only too well how things can get twisted in custody battles, I have been part of one and remember it clearly. Just cos I know he is crap doesn't mean everyone else would see that.

Plus xp did once suggest us having them for 6mths of the year each.

I know I am probably worrying over nothing but it still scares the shite out of me.

If he did manage to persuade a judge that he was worthy/capable of looking after three children, it would be a travesty.

I know it easy enough for me to say, but you really shouldnt worry, and the crux of it will be that really- he cant be arsed to look after three kids

He's a nutter!

For goodness sake, what judge in the country would give him custody!!

There you are, taking care of their every need whilst he swans in as & when it suits him! And even then you have to pay him to take the kids out! Come on!!

You are a fab mother & his family are obviously on another planet

Let them cook up all the plans he wants. He has to prove you are an unfit parent & he has no chane of doing so, has he?

True, although I think he sees looking after them as the easy option tbh.

I think I am just getting worried because at the mo I am refusing to bend over backwards to accomodate him and so I know that will be pissing him off. Today for example, he rang to speak to the kids, and Dd2 asked me if I wanted to speak to him and I said No Thanks which will have pissed him off.

I can just imagine the conversation that he then had with his family about how awful I am etc etc.

Will try not to think about it anymore and go to bed

I'm hungry too.

That's why I have a huge mug of tea & 3 pineapple rings chopped up

Yum, sounds nice.

I really shouldn't eat anything else at all. Have already had egg on toast for breakfast, then a shhhhhhh macdonalds for lunch and then tuna salad for dinner. Oh and 1 or 2 (or 3 or 4) party rings

Yeah probably ladytophamhatt, but then I never claimed to be anything other than odd

It's either pineapple or crisps......
