Has anyone here been away with one of the single parent holiday companies? What was it like?

I am after a bit of September sun, nice food, but ideally with transfers sorted out for me, the chance to see a bit of culture etc as well.

Watching with interest! Would love to try one of these types of holidays and am thinking of it for next spring/summer. I was looking at one website, can't remember which one, and it said beach holidays tend to be women and kids mainly, while dads tend to do activity trips like trekking and skiing. Not sure if that helps!!

Good morning!
I looked and thought that the prices were VERY expensive!
I'm organising a trip next year to either Italy or Austria (we haven't decided yet) for single mums and children - we're going to a Eurocamp.
The idea is to share accommodation with another family (or two) but it would be possible to have your own private accommodation (it would just cost more).
I'll keep the thread that I started updated.

It does seem a lot. Potentially I could be interested, especially if anyone else had really little ones (DS born Dec 2013)

I have been with Mango three times. Twice to Woolacombe and once to Mallorca, I couldn't recommend them high enough. They are more expensive than doing it alone but DS had people to play with and I had people to talk to. All transfers are sorted and there is a group leader on each trip to help organise trips etc.

Hi Scrambled, can I ask how big the groups were on your trips? Also, what were the other people like?! Am really curious - the only thing that puts me off this sort of holiday is the thought of getting stuck with somebody I don't like very much Grin
