I'm listening, I'm not sure if I'm any use in practical terms but I am really, really sorry you are going through this.

Would the CSA be any use? I mean to get maintenance, so you could work a bit less?

Hi Mandy

I didn't want to read and run, so I'm hoping that things will slowly improve for you. What medical problems do you have? Feel free to write it down if it helps.

Meanwhile - here's a hug (((_)))

Went to the gp about really painful leg cramps and getting breathless .ended up having to have a ecg and chest x ray and he put it down to being stressed but i asked why a x ray he just replied. ..just to be on the safe side....waiting for the results of the x ray. ..oh and he gave me an inhaler. ...so i left more stressed...and thank you for the hug. ...

that will all be because they wanted to rule out a DVT (blood clot in your leg) that could have moved to your lung, causing a problem and making you out of breath. I had all those symptoms and all the same tests and it was for that.

It's good if they did not find anything on the x ray. You can relax about that at least Smile

I dunno - they never blooming tell you anything do they Smile

Hopefully it's nothing, the ECG would have been funny if it had a clot on your lung (pulmonary embolism it's called) so you're probably Ok - when I had my scare, they wanted to keep me in, and they also tried to inject me with an anti clotting agent to be on the safe side - I was pregnant and said no thanks, I'll risk it, and it was all fine.

They wouldn't have let you go if they thought it was a high risk x

x ray could also be to check for pneumonia/chest infection which would becausing the breathlessness - but you would be poorly with that too so it's not too likely x

Hi Mandy, your gp can refer you to a stress management course through mental health services.

Gp can also sign you off sick for a couple of weeks. Would this be an option?

You sound like you need a break x

It sounds like your GP should be helping you through your life in other ways, either through a stress management course as Raa suggested, or maybe some bereavement counselling?

Also getting yourself signed off for a week or two, will allow you to get stuff into perspective.

Let us know how you get on.
