It's Mother's Day in the UK.

If you are living overseas, do you celebrate Mother's day on the day it is celebrated in your country of origin or the day it is celebrated in the country you live in? Or both? Or not at all?

Oh, and other than gifts, are there any particular customs associated with Mother's Day?

We have ended up celebrating both. Dd is at an international school and makes cards for both. We don't really do anything special though.

When is Mother's Day in Spain?

We only celebrate the French mother's day which is in May. My children and their father are French and we live in France so it would feel strange to do anything else.

It's in June. We did only celebrate Spanish as it seemed silly to do English but the school does both for some strange reason.

I've checked and it's at the beginning of June in France this year. I am sure it is usually at the end of May.

We do both - for me, the UK one (where we are living now), but for the grandmothers, the Aussie one (2nd Sunday in May), but most years don't realise or remember it's Mother's Day till it's almost too late!
