You guys seem to be doing it tough at the moment with the very hot weather and bushfires.

Just wanted to check you are alright and ask that you stop sending the heat over to Melbourne, I'm too hot!!!

Hope you are all OK.

We were just getting over 40+ days & now the temp is rising again. 40 today....I not liking it.

I read about your heat in Melbourne - bad show NYE. We just have rain and rain and then what do you know - more rain BUT i will not complain as the water is desperately needed. As we speak dh is out putting in sandbags for some localised flooding.

I would love some of your rain... everything is so dusty and dry here.

The heat is just sooooo stifling here today and our rented house has no cooling, only the fans we have bought.

How do you keep a 3wk old cool?? DS is getting lots of baths...

strip him down to a vest and a nappy.

wet a cloth - muslin etc and put it in front of the fan and put the fan on.

oh and lay ds in her cot/on a mat or wherever but somewhere he can catch the cooling breeze.

Thanks eidsvold, I appreciate your advice.
The weather is wonderfully fab today, 24c which is just lovely. Won't last long tho', up to the high 30 horrors again by the end of the week. Grrr....
