Hello Eugene, sorry for the late reply, but I just saw your post on here.

We have just moved from the UK to here after spending some time living there. We are Maltese and decided to return to our rock.

If you are after state schools it shouldn't be difficult to enroll your children in the school within the catchment area you rent. As for prices to rent property in, it depends on what you are looking for and where you would like to base yourself. Sliema, St. Julians area is quite expensive. Will you have a car or will you rely on public transport? If you have a car, I would try and find other villages in which to rent. As for work, there's the ETC website which might help you get started and maybe other private recruitment agencies.

I hope this helps.
