Mock family mediation organized as part of Mediation Awareness Week.

The mock mediation considers a three-way dispute involving a very much estranged couple and a grandmother who has variously been described as caring, interfering and domineering. She and her ex- daughter-in-law have fallen on hard times and she has made an application to the Family Court. A narrator will provide the background story with different roles played by a group of accomplished mediators.

This event would be ideal not just for family lawyers and family mediators but also for others working in the family law field or who have a professional interest in the subject. Additionally, it would be suitable for those who have little or no knowledge of the subject. Lawyers and other professionals might care to invite friends, colleagues or clients to accompany them.
