Can I ask for some general info from any prosecutors or similar. In a book, if there was a murder would the prosecutor know/have an idea about what the plea was likely to be before hand and if so would they tell family?
Is a plea deal offered as a matter of course and at what stage in proceedings?
Also does anyone have an idea of how the criminal compensation works? Would an estranged partner receive any payments or does it all go into a trust fund for a child.
