I posted this in Employment but was told that I might get a bit more help here.
Would be immensely grateful for anyone who has any expertise on this. DH has been made redundant by his company who have gone into a CVA (this appears to be a totally cynical move by a company director who just did the same thing to another company). He has worked there just under two years and has just received paperwork which appears to say that he will not receive his final pay-cheque, let alone the two months notice he is entitled to (according to his contract and according to the CVA paperwork he received). We know that the government will pay up to £475 per week if he doesn't find a new job but we are, frankly, fuming that the company is going to just get away with this and the director is going to be able to continue running companies.
Do we have any comeback at all? He's owed the best part of £7k before tax. I really resent the fact that they will get away with this and then go on and do the same thing to other employee and suppliers.
