Help! Need a solicitor (SW London)

I wonder if anyone can recommend a good (not too expensive) solicitor please. We live in SW London and are selling our shared ownership property. As part of the pack we have to fill out and send to the Housing Association to get the ball rolling we have to give details of a solicitor we have appointed to act on our behalf so need to find one quick! Local to SW London would be good but don't mind if it's a little further away.

You probably don't need one to be local to you, and might save considerably if you use a regional firm. Check their rates, and get quotes so that you can compare....

Muddy just trying to go for a fairly local one as it's much easier when we need to pop in and sign paperwork rather than getting it couriered or having to travel halfway across town (just remembering from last time we moved what a hassle it was!) so a local firm will just make things a little easier this time around!

Having just been through another house sale/purchase and used a different company, further away, in order to save a bit of money, I definitely won't do so again. As you say, Always, using a local company means you can pop in when something needs signing. I spent a fortune couriering things over to them, and had to go in person 4 times to sign things. I don't think it should have been that tricky, but it was, so next time, I'm going back to local!

A family member recommended a local firm and I called them today, they gave a reasonable quote and were very straight talking and helpful so I'll be going with them.
