I am about to let out my flat and need to get hold of one, can I buy one off the shelf or am I best asking a solicitor to draft one?

You can normally get one free from a google search.

There are different types - whether you are renting a room or the whole flat.

If you pm me I can send you one that I use :)

Join Landlordzone! You can then download contracts that apply to your property type and tenant ie children/pets/business etc
They also have a very useful Q&A section and a forum.
We get our building insurance through them which has been £££ cheaper looking at comparable quotes and of course they have a really useful builders/gas/electric section whereby other LL can recommend such tradesmen.
