hi

I have to send a witness statement back to court in a few weeks as ordered by the judge at the first hearing

What I would like to know as self representing is when I send the statement to court do I have to send a copy to the other party too??

The reason I ask is the other party is playing alot of games and making false allegations and the witness statement is detailing my concerns which ideally I wouldn't want them to see as it will give her time to address my concerns in her own statement and twist it all.

Obviously if it's a case that it's tough and I have to send them to the other party I will just thought I would ask someone who may know the way things need to be done.

Many thanks in advance

If your is to be filed fist and theirs is in response, serve a copy on them.

If they are to be filed at the same time, lodge your in court and only send them a copy when they are in a position to exchange.
